Ambulance Board continues process to bring billing in-house

2 years, 10 months ago by Bob Gough

The Adams County Ambulance Board reviewed its number of calls for 2012 and continued to prepare for bringing its billing in-house in 2013.

The Ambulance Service finished the year with 7,027 calls in the County and 5,700 long-distance patient transports outside the County.

With December being the first month of the County’s fiscal year, the Ambulance Service finished more than $17,000 under budget with expenses of $243,347 last month. The County Board is continuing to help the Ambulance Service with its cashflow issues.

The Ambulance Service is also on track to bring its billing in-house in a further attempt to reduce expenses. That conversion is expected to be completed in April and the Ambulance Board approved a software purchase for data collection at Tuesday morning’s meeting.
