Adams Fiber rolls out new high speed Internet option in Quincy

1 year, 4 months ago by

Adams Fiber and the City of Quincy have announced they are breaking ground on a trial fiber optic cable project serving about 100 residents on Quincy's southeast side.

The announcement was made Wednesday in the Breckenridge subdivision near John Wood Community College, where the first fiber-optic cable will be installed.

Adams has been offering fiber-optic service to Quincy businesses since 2005 and is now branching out into residential service.

The company will pay the City a 5 percent franchise fee, just as Comcast pays to run its television and internet service in Quincy.

Adams offers different pricing levels of pricing based on speed. Basic 10 megabits per second service will run $49.95 per month and you can pay more for faster service.
