More like judging another's mental state or reasoning process with no knowledge of the individual involved.
Its amazing the savings you can find in Government when you refuse to add any more to the $'s to the budget. Yes, the sky was falling as Copley described it. He wanted fresh revenue for those 2 positions. But instead I would guess that his budget was dissected line by line and the money was found. Congratulations to the Mayor for holding the line on spending, as amazing things can happen in…
Thanks for nice inform about that. I believe that Kiwanis Centennial playground get very good design..therefore, it has been approved by The Quincy Park Board.
Like assuming something nefarious is going on because the media has access to something going on? Those kinds of snap judgments?
I really wish Adams Networks would get fiber rolled out faster. Comcast has NO competition in town (ATT doesn't count since their service is awful)
Damn straight! A little paranoia can help prevent making snap judgements in unfamiliar circumstances.
I consider myself a bit paranoid and it seems to be more of an asset than a liability in today's society.
So are you saying this man is from Columbia ? J930: that's what we're told
I felt the earth shake a little.
Wow. I didn't realize KHQA, WGEM, Journal, and the Whig had that much power.... That's a mighty loftly horse you've decided to sit on when discussing a local murder trial's jury selection. Not even the trial itself, just the jury selection. And yet you're talking about wars and Walter Cronkite. You have quite the....interesting....worldview. People say the word "media" and…
I'd like to know what the current staffing of the QPD is. From what I've heard we've lost quite a few officers this year... So how many are we authorized (i.e. budgeted) and how many do we have? It sounds like we're below what's budgeted. We've lost at least half a dozen with a couple more lined up to retire soon.
Maybe the Mayor and City Council Members need to employ this method of 'budget' cutting with all taxpayer funded departments. Let's see how much more money they could save the taxpayers. Let's try a 'we need' vs. a 'we want' approach to all depts. This just shows how gov't employees function. Eyeballs never looking at cost only at the shiny objects their…
I have talked with someone, WarCry. I usually talk with the one person who always agrees with me - myself. Not paranoid, or blind. I've seen the media use its power to elect our current president, politicians and to push through laws that suit them. I've seen them excite the public over guns and other things that they disagree with. I've seen them push war and conflicts. You call…
They don't care, as long as it increases the bottom line. que da una mierda Jō ēka bakavāsa dētā hai
Probably because they don't pay 'em diddly. The problem with that is, you get what you pay for. But that fits right in with their "Customer be Damned" attitude and service.
Because outsourcing and capitalism. Duh.
Don't call them to complain unless you speak a foreign language. WHY would any company employee a person to answer their phones when English is not their primary language?
It's for jury selection only. Juries have to be uninfluenced, and it's not the least bit uncommon for jury selection to be closed to the public. The trial, unless there are disruptions, won't be closed, as you can see by the fact that the judge has already issued warnings to some family members. Your post is mildly paranoid. You may want to talk to someone about that.
Why does the media get to be in the courtroom when everyone else is banned? This shows me that the tail (media) is wagging the dog (our court system).
I don't get it. Chief Copley suggested more than once that the sky was going to fall if these officers weren't hired, yet he miraculously juggles the numbers in his own budget to make it possible. Granted, this solves the problem for this fiscal year only, but what happened to the impound fee plan? As I understand it, the original proposal was likely unconstitutional because it was tied…
