Downtown businesses have deals for shopping
Buying online is easy, but it drains the local economy of buying power.
The purpose of small business Saturday is to pursuade local residents that money earned in this community should be spent in this community whenever possible.
Economists agree that every dollar spent at a locally owned business turns over seven times in the local economy.
Spending your dollars in your hometown helps everyone prosper.
Jerry-Lynn Malone owns and operates premiere diva at 725 Hampshire in the Historic Quincy Business District.
Malone wants every Quincyian to visit downtown Saturday and rediscover local shops.
“I not only encourage you, but we need you downtown. The small business and operators, we rely on you and making purchases. I hope to see your smiling faces on Saturday along with several of the other folks. Come in and introduce yourself, see what we have new, see if
there’s we can help you with on your holiday gift giving list,” said Malone. “This money will stay local. We put it right back in the community. We really do care about you, and we appreciate your business. Uptown, downtown or right down here is the great place to be
on Saturday. Don’t spend all your money on Black Friday- Small Business Saturday is really where it’s at.”
Other local merchants will also have special pricing on Small Business Saturday.
