4 years, 3 months ago by

Five people have been arrested on meth-related charges.

At 5 p.m. yesterday agents from West Central Illinois Task Force, Illinois State Police Meth Response Team the Adams County Sheriff’s Department and the Quincy Police Dept. went to 300 Lind after receiving a tip of meth related activity. Officers also received information that 49 year old Dennis Hernandez was at the residence. Hernandez, who is currently on Federal Parole and lives at 720 Spring, was wanted in the investigation of a meth lab located at Riverview Park last week and Alexander Lane in rural Adams County over the weekend.

On Sunday night an Adams County deputy saw Hernandez standing near a parked vehicle on Alexander Lane behind a building. Hernandez fled on foot and the deputy found the initial stages of a meth lab near the vehicle. Thomas Delcour, 21, was later arrested at the “Chelsea” after reporting the vehicle as stolen. Delcour reported the vehicle as stolen approximately six minutes after the deputy located meth manufacturing materials on the ground near the vehicle. A follow-up investigation revealed Delcour had also fled the scene.

Upon arriving at the residence near 3rd and Lind yesterday, officers took Hernandez into custody. Officers located an active meth lab, meth manufacturing material and several grams of finished and liquid meth, along with hypodermic syringes used to inject meth. Twenty-five-year old Greg Delcour was arrested on a traffic stop as he left the residence before officers were able to enter. Also arrested on drug charges yesterday was 20 year old Lacy Delcour of 300 Lind and 20 year old Zakkary Perry of Payson.
