Serves search warrant on one apartment, discovers active meth lab in apartment next door

Three more people are behind bars in Adams County after allegedly making meth in Quincy.

Agents with the West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant at 602 N. 5th Street, apartment #5 in Quincy on Wednesday evening.

Police say they seized methamphetamine and ingredients used in the manufacture of meth during the search of apartment #5.    While they were serving the search warrant, agents also discovered an active methamphetamine laboratory in apartment #6.

A second search warrant was obtained and methamphetamine and a shake and bake laboratory were reportedly seized in that apartment.

Arrested at the apartment were Teddy E. Pendleton, 58, of the residence, Michael G. Gundersen, 47, of Quincy and Kaitlyn J. Grawe, 21, of Mt. Sterling.

Pendleton, Gundersen, and Grawe were all arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production  and were transported to the Adams County Jail.

Additional arrests are expected in the investigation.

According to Adams County records Pendleton is currently out on bond for Delivery of Meth and is set for an April Jury Trial.  Gundersen was sentenced in November to 24 months probation for Possession of Meth.
