Blessed Sacrament Catholic School celebrates the strength of families during Catholic Schools Week

1 year, 7 months ago by

On Sunday, January 26, they will kick off the week with a special, family-led Mass at 4 p.m.

Each year Catholic schools throughout the nation are highlighted for one week with special activities for the students and their families celebrating their Catholic heritage. This year, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will begin and end Catholic Schools Week celebrating the strength of family.

On Sunday, January 26, they will kick off the week with a special, family-led Mass at 4 p.m. Following the Mass, families will enjoy a pizza party and trivia night. Families have to work together to answer the trivia questions, which will include categories such as the 8 habits, academics, music/movie, Blessed Sacrament history, and others. Throughout the week, students will participate in special activities during the school day such as lunches with their parents, dress up days, Winter Olympics, and a talent show. Blessed Sacrament will close Catholic Schools Week with a family-friendly movie night on Friday evening. Students can wear their pajamas and bring sleeping bags and pillows to the school gym where popcorn is served and families watch a movie together.

Catholic Schools Week is a time for not only students, teachers, and staff to celebrate, but also their families. The strength of the families working and celebrating together will be visible during Catholic Schools Week at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School this year.
