C-SC is hosting the class on Wednesday March 19
With tornado season quickly approaching, Culver-Stockton is offering training on the safe and correct response to severe weather. C-SC is hosting a Storm Spotter class, Wednesday March 19, 2014 from 6:30 -8:30 p.m. in the Alexander Campbell Auditorium of the Performing Arts Center on campus. Jim Kramper from the National Weather Service in St Louis is conducting the class, which includes discussions regarding weather phenomena, storms and appropriate responses to severe weather. Emergency response personnel, members of the community, and students are invited to attend.
At the end of the course, participants may elect to register as Storm Spotters with the National Weather Service or to simply retain the information for personal interest and safety. Others may want to just view the presentation and become more familiar with severe storms, how to recognize them, and the appropriate precautions to consider. Attendees should bring writing materials for program notes.
This event is offered every two years, and is free and open to the public. For more information, call Bob Sadler at (573) 406-2070 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
